G5000 Aircraft

G5000 Aircraft - Brushed metallic flight instrumentation and carbon fiber accents create a stylish environment, and with the most advanced avionics suite currently available in business aviation, pilot workload is significantly reduced, ensuring safer and more efficient missions. Crew also get their own dedicated, fully enclosed area, meaning they are there working for you, whenever you need them – just like Global aircraft.

Pilots can take command of the aircraft’s robust navigation, traffic, surveillance and communications systems with ease. In addition, the integrated flight management system provides extensive navigation and flight-planning as well as en route, takeoff and landing performance information.

The three 14-inch landscape flight displays can function independently as a primary flight display (PFD) or multifunction display (MFD). The displays also function in multi-pane mode, the center pedestal for MFD control and two additional panels control each PFD. Pilots can customize displays via the touchscreen control panels, organizing and prioritizing the flight data presented.

Visually Intuitive Flight

Plus, with the addition of optional Garmin SVT™ synthetic vision technology, pilots see a realistic 3-D view of topographic features surrounding their aircraft. Garmin SVT tracks the navigation system’s terrain database to recreate this “virtual reality” landscape on the pilot and copilot PFDs.

This aircraft features a Partial Recirculation System to keep cabin air clean. This system operates by bringing fresh air from outside into the aircraft through the engines. The engines compress and heat the air killing pathogens and germs. The air is then cooled and enters the cabin as cold or warm air before exiting aft. A small percentage of the air remains and is pushed through a HEPA filter to mix with new air in the cabin.

Your corporate jet has proven itself to be a vital tool for your organization. But as it ages, you might have some important questions about its future. For Citation Excel and XLS operators, you also have an easy answer:  The Garmin G5000® integrated flight deck retrofit. With it, you’ll add even more value and utility to your aircraft, all while boosting service life and reliability.

Large, high-resolution color screens depict aircraft performance, navigation, weather, terrain and traffic information with easy-to-interpret displays. A proven, digital attitude and heading reference system delivers high-precision data for the instruments on the Primary Flight Displays (PFD).

The Citation Latitude aircraft's sleek airframe allows you to arrive in style. Combine that with the aircraft’s twin Pratt & Whitney PW306D1 FADEC-controlled turbofan engines and you’ve got an aircraft that gives you impressive performance and serious ramp presence.

Another highlight of the Global 5000 and Global 6000: their class-leading combination of speed, range and dependability. The Global 5000 has a maximum range of 5,200 nautical miles (9,630 kilometers), while the Global 6000 goes the extra distance with a maximum range of 6,000 nautical miles (11,112 kilometers). Combined with an impressive top speed of Mach 0.89, this means that your non-stop mission from New York to Moscow can be completed without missing a beat. With advanced wing design, powerful engines and oversized carbon brakes, both aircraft are steep-approach-certified for operating in and out of challenging airports like London City and Aspen. The bottom line: Challenging and short runways won’t keep you from arriving at your destination.

Performance is about more than getting from point A to point B – it’s also a matter of speed, efficiency and comfort. Bombardier Business Aircraft created the Global 5000 and Global 6000 with this mix in mind, beginning with clean-sheet interior design. Unifying these aircraft with the new Global 7000 and Global 8000 models was a key design theme, and the result is both modern and timeless – and noticeable as soon as you step onto the aircraft. The galley has been remade in the image of a Michelin-starred kitchen, with a logical layout and focus on clean lines. Elegant hardwood flooring (as well as optional stone tile in the forward and aft lavatories) continues the look and feel of fine interior design without compromise.

The Garmin G Is Engineered To Reduce Workload Improve Situational Awareness And Give Flight Crews The Tools To Enhance Safety And Efficiency On Every Flight

The Citation Latitude aircraft is equipped to use LINXUS. LinxUs and optional LinxUs Air work with the Central Diagnostics Maintenance system (CDMS) and function as a fault-isolation system that monitors the aircraft 100 percent of the time. In the event of an onboard issue, actionable answers are provided in real time, resulting in faster turnaround to get the aircraft back in the air.

Meanwhile, detailed moving-map graphics on the Multi-Function Display (MFD) show the aircraft’s current position relative to navigational aids, airways, flight plan routings, and more. Flight crews can also overlay weather, lightning, traffic, terrain, and obstruction for improved awareness, while still viewing essential engine status, crew alerting and fuel-systems data on the MFD’s multi-pane screen for easier monitoring and faster troubleshooting.

The Garmin Synthetic Vision Technology (SVT) system offers a virtual-reality view of terrain, obstacles, traffic and runways-everything beyond the windshield. Using the terrain-altering database, pilots get a realistic picture of what lies beyond the nose of the Citation Latitude aircraft. Garmin SVT enhances pilots’ situational awareness by creating a virtual depiction of group and water features, obstacles and traffic, even in a solid IFR or nighttime VFR conditions.
